Man stopped and taken into custody, mistaken for robbery suspect
Mr. Louw alleged that on January 13, 2002, deputies stopped him because he matched the description of a suspect in a recent robbery. Mr. Louw alleged that the deputies pointed firearms at him, handcuffed him, placed him into a patrol car, photographed him and brought the robbery victim to his location in an attempt to identify him as the suspect before he was released from custody. Mr. Louw also alleged that the next day a detective spoke to him with a "smart tone of voice" and had a "bad attitude".
