Deputy shoots dog
On Saturday, December 6, 2003 at 2254 hours, Deputy Dennis Krust was dispatched to 3517 West Hillcrest Avenue to investigate a 9-1-1 telephone call, in which the caller hung up without speaking. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Communications Center tried to call the residence back, but they were unsuccessful.
As Deputy Krust was standing on the porch, two Pit Bull Terriers ran outside. Deputy Krust shot one of the dogs after the dog bit Deputy Krust on the thigh. The dog later succumbed to its injuries. The Pit Bull's owner, Ms. Robbie Brown, alleges Deputy Krust's actions were improper when he shot her Pit Bull.
