Deputy fails to place prisoner's confiscated Valium in the property room
Deputy Lively assumed custody of pills that were taken from a prisoner being admitted to the jail. After Deputy Lively had been informed that the prisoner stated that the pills were Valium, Deputy Lively failed to place the pills into the Sheriffs Office Property Room.
Sergeant Jeff Papanek investigated this complaint by obtaining copies of Deputy Lively's Daily Activity Report for January 25, 2002 and the Suspect/Arrestee Supplement and Jail Booking Information for Mr. Kenneth Jones. Sergeant Papanek also conducted an interview with Deputy Lively. Please see the report submitted by Sergeant Papanek. Sergeant Papanek found the complaint to have merit.
