Deputy accused of using excessive force during a domestic violence complaint

On Sunday, July 7, 2002, Deputy Timothy Turner, and Deputy John Campbell contacted Ms. Kelli McGuire at her residence, 4917 Wire Drive in Harrison Township regarding a complaint against her for domestic violence. Ms. McGuire alleges that Deputy Turner used excessive force in arresting her by twisting her left arm, and attempted to intimidate her thirteen-year-old daughter, Hailey, by speaking to her without an adult present.

Ms. McGuire feels that Deputy Turner is friends with her former live-in boyfriend Timothy Mcintosh, and is attempting to harass her for him.

Deputies touch customer in pizza restaurant

Case Number: 

On December 18, 2001, Mr. David Crutcher was a customer at Marion's Pizza at 3443 North Dixie Drive. When Mr. Crutcher voiced a complaint to the manager regarding a perceived health hazard, an argument ensued and deputies were dispatched to the restaurant. Mr. Crutcher alleged that the deputies immediately "sided" with the manager and touched him unnecessarily and used excessive force when they escorted him from the building.

Deputy uses excessive force during an arrest

On Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at 1837 hours, Deputy Timothy Turner responded to the area of Forest Park Drive and Riverside Drive on the report of a fight with shots fired. While securing the crime scene, Ms. Vanessa Richardson repeatedly tried to enter the crime scene. After Deputy Turner gave Ms. Richardson several warnings, he eventually arrested her for obstructing official business and resisting arrest. Ms. Richardson alleges Deputy Turner used excessive force and was discourteous during her arrest.
